Mainstream Coverage of Our Energy Issues

In just a few hours research, I easily happened across several credible sources addressing our current energy (and economic) issues.

You don't have to take my word for it.  There are plenty of reputable individuals and organizations clued into the issues humanity is actually facing.

Some of these sources are just bent on making a buck, but at least they're paying attention... Are you?


Forbes.com: Bracing for Peak Oil By Decade's End ...Wally Forbes and a buddy sitting down publicly to  discuss  the situation should remove any lingering doubt of it's reality. They offer extremely conservative estimates regarding Peak Oil's onset and it's global impact.  Most experts think we're already at or beyond oil's production peak.  Many think global demand is already outstripping supply and that our current economic woes are linked to this.  Regardless of when, the catastrophic economic, political, and military fallout is predictable.   


Globaldashboard.com: Peak Coal - By 2011? ... Analysis of a recent University of Texas study published in Energy magazine that points to peak production levels of coal from existing mines in the near future.  The study also calls into question global figures on untapped reserves.  Overall it paints a doubtful picture of our hopes in coal as a replacement for oil.  The actual study is accessible here...
