RIT students use AR-15 sport rifle to scare off armed home invaders: Why doesn't national media highlight (or even mention) all the lives that legal guns save?

On Tuesday 1/22/2013 two armed men broke into a home in Rochester, NY.  They had pistols drawn and were proceeded to take one student hostage.  His roommate, another student at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) heard the commotion from upstairs so he unlocked his AR-15 sport rifle and used it to scare off the home invaders.

That's the story we are getting from local ABC news station 13WHAM.  It's a story people outside of the Rochester, NY area are unlikely to hear about because the national media rarely highlights all of the lives saved and property protected when guns are legally used (usually without a shot being fired, and in this case the AR-15 wasn't even loaded!) for defense of life, liberty, and property.

While the corporately owned and complicit mass media is screaming for gun control in the wake of the Sandy Hook Tragedy (which appears to have been a set up) we hear no mention of the countless incidents like this where a firearm serves as the deterrent that stops a crime in progress or keeps would be criminals from even trying.  Kudos to these brave students for safely stopping their assailants and to 13WHAM for covering this crucial topic at a time when the national media is pushing the corrupt government's gun control agenda through dubious illogicality.  Peace.
